Freya

This looks so amazing! Looks so professional! I haven't even iced mine yet, let alone dare cut it!!

Lisa

HOLY CRAP! That's freakin GORGEOUS, Laura!! Ohhh mannnn I don't even want to finish mine now.. lol No way is it going to look like that - you did an AWESOME job! I can't wait to see future challenges from you - way to go!

Hysterical post too, by the way.. love the part about how (am giggling typing this) we won't leave any incriminating evidence at a crime scene. We should all get together next week and rob a bank!! HAHAHAHAAA!

Okay.. too silly for this time of the morning.. must click another DB blog.. can't stop giggling..

xoxo

Hi Laura! I love the comment about telling one of your tasters to "get a room" - LOL! Your version is absolutely gorgeous, and I love how even you got each layer of the meringue! I agree with all of the advice you gave - particularly around taking your time.

Helen

Gorgeous! Is that huge slice for me...because I have to admit I could spoon that filling on about anything!

Marce

wow, that´s gourgeous, Laura. I love how distinct your layers stayed when you cut the cake, mine was a bit messier. And I agree about 23 being a good number. I did the very same thing, I just did 20 something layers and then did a mini cake with the rest of the crepes and filling, otherwise, the leaning tower of Pisa would be nothing compared to my cake!

Lorraine@italianfoodies

Just to make you all jealous, me and Bru had too big scrumptious slices and believe me it tastes even better than it looks!! Thanks Laura!!

Kirsten

Hi Laura,

I just LOVE seeing all the versions of the same dessert from the Daring Bakers.

Your version is GORGEOUS!!! WOW!!!

E

Wow! Gorgeous cake and I love your daughter's description...it really captures the cake.
Your does look better than The Martha's and the espresso chocolate is brilliant with the hazelnut filling.

Claudia

Wow. Perfect. There's nothing else to say.

Jenny

Wow your cake looks amazing! Did we make the same thing?
Great job DB sister!

rachel

How pretty!

valentina

Oh, my god, this looks stunning! you make it look so easy.. I have failed terribly with mine. Never managed to get enough crepes..so I have given up for now. Won't'have enough time to try again if I have a change of heart. As for the title, really lovely and fun!!

peabody

Yours turned out so beautifully...I can tell you really cared. I quickly stopped caring and my cake shows it :)

Mary

Your cake looks so perfect. Martha move over!

Sara

I agree, your cake looks magazine worthy! Love the sugar on top.

Brilynn

I'm so impressed with your results! You conquered this challenge beyond all expectations.

Pauline Boland

I don't get to be smug this time round as I didn't get to taste this amazing looking cake. I was invited to do so but as I am bridesmaid at a wedding in 3 weeks I had to decline. I am now kicking myself!

Meeta

Laura, I love the the way the layers look so prominent! You really mastered the cake brilliantly. I bow my humble head in awe!

Val

Jaysus!

Glenna

Beautiful! No need to be modest. You deserve the praise. Great job!

breadchick

I love the name your family gave the cake! I agree with everyone your cake was one of the loveliest of the bunch!!

veron

Your cake is gorgeous. I love those whispy sugar strands that you made. And your crepes all look so even and perfectly glazed!

Deborah

Phenomenal... where do you get it? Unbelievable!!!
